UnitedHealth: Revenue up 14% to $80.1B in Q1

UnitedHealth Group Incorporated revealed on Thursday that its revenue grew 14.2% year on year to $80.1 billion in the first fiscal quarter of 2022.

Earnings from operations reached $7 billion in the opening trimester, rising 3% compared to the same period a year ago. Net earnings increased by 3% on an annualized basis to $5.1 billion in the three months that ended March 31, 2022, while diluted earnings per share rose by 4% using the same comparison to $5.27.

"Based upon the first quarter performance and enterprise-wide growth outlook, the Company increased its full year net earnings outlook to $20.30 to $20.80 per share and adjusted net earnings to $21.20 to $21.70 per share," UnitedHealth said in the report.

Company stock gained 0.56% in the premarket after it released its first-quarter figures.
