Unvaccinated Germans could face restrictions - official

German Chancellor Angela Merkel's chief of staff, Helge Braun, warned on Sunday that unvaccinated people in the country could face restrictions if coronavirus infections rise again.

Braun told Bild am Sonntag that it is unlikely Germany will introduce new lockdowns but measures that apply to those who haven't received a jab are likely.

"Vaccinated people will definitely have more freedoms than unvaccinated people," he stressed, adding the unvaccinated could be barred from restaurants, cinemas and stadiums.
