Upjohn-Mylan merger conditionally approved by FTC

The United States Federal Trade Commission announced on Friday Pfizer Inc. and Mylan N.V. have agreed to divest assets and adhere to other conditions in order to receive approval for Mylan's merger with Upjohn Inc.

The regulator requested the companies to divest assets in ten pharmaceutical markets deemed to be at risk of harming current US competion to Prasco LLC.

In addition, Viatris will be required to seek approval from the FTC if it acquires interest in or control over any third party's rights to products it was required to sell.
