UPS Q3 revenue at $23.2 billion, up 9.2% YoY
United Parcel Service Inc. (UPS) unveiled on Tuesday that its consolidated revenue for the third quarter of the fiscal year reached $23.2 billion, increasing 9.2% when compared to the same period last year.
For the same three-month period, the company noted that its consolidated operating profit saw a 22.6% yearly rise climbing to $2.9 billion. Meanwhile, its diluted earnings per share jumped to $2.65, constituting a per annum gain of 18.3%, while its net income reached $2.3 billion.
UPS CEO Carol Tomé commented on the report: "The actions we are taking under our better not bigger strategic framework to improve revenue quality, enhance productivity and remain disciplined on capital allocation are driving our positive financial performance."
UPS shares were up 2.99% in premarket trading following the release of the report.
