US, Canada aim to bolster transatlantic security - Biden

United States President Joe Biden addressed the nation after, what he described as a "very productive" meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He noted the two countries intend to cooperate on strengthening transatlantic security, together with their European allies.

"The United States has no closer or more important friend than Canada," Biden noted, adding he wants the US to work closely with its northern neighbor on revitalizing their economies and ensuring a "robust" recovery from the coronavirus crisis.

Regarding the two nations' bilateral relations, the two promised to join forces to tackle a wide array of issues including climate change, the coronavirus pandemic, as well as preventing any future biological threats through the World Health Organization, said Biden.
