US down in premarket ahead of jobless claims report

Equities in the United States traded lower in the premarket on Thursday ahead of the release of the country's latest reports on initial jobless claims and wholesale inventories. Earlier, President Joe Biden announced the price of gasoline declined by 7% in comparison to the previous month. Meanwhile, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized the use of AstraZeneca PLC's treatment against COVID-19 Evusheld in those with compromised immune systems.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average went down by 0.21% at 4:30 am ET. At the same time, the Nasdaq 100 decreased by 0.22%. The S&P 500 fell by 0.26%.

The euro lost 0.28% to the dollar to sell for $1.13164 at 4:29 am ET.
