US erases gains premarket after ADP data

Shares on the major stock market indices in the United States started trading below the flatline in the premarket on Wednesday, after having spent most of the morning in the green, as the ADP National Employment Report revealed that the number of jobs in the country's private sector rose much more modestly than expected.

After the opening bell, the investors will keep an eye on the PMI reports by the Institute for Supply Management and IHS Markit.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average stood flat at 8:49 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 dropped 0.50% a minute later. At 8:50 am ET, the S&P 500 declined by 0.30%. The euro surrendered 0.30% to the dollar at 8:53 am ET, changing hands at 1.20547.
