US higher in premarket with Fed, data in focus

Equities in the United States traded higher in the premarket on Wednesday ahead of a series of economic updates that will be unveiled during the day, including those on the gross domestic product (GDP), employment change, and job openings.

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell will also give a speech on the current state of the country's economy, followed by the release of the central bank's Beige Book.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average went up by 0.15% at 4:24 am ET. At the same time, the Nasdaq 100 increased by 0.49% and the S&P 500 grew by 0.26%. The euro rose by 0.46% against the dollar at 4:24 am ET to sell for $1.03728.
