US markets down at close as court blocks JEDI deal

Stocks on Wall Street closed lower on Thursday following the Senate's voting in favor of the Iran War Powers resolution which limited President Donald Trump’s ability to wage war against the Middle Eastern country. The stock markets declined despite Tesla and Equifax leading the market gains. Meanwhile, a US court temporarily blocked the JEDI contract between Microsoft and the Pentagon.

The Dow Jones dropped 0.42% at the closing, with Cisco Systems falling 5.23%. The Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500 traded 0.18% and 0.15% lower at the end, respectively, as NetApp's shares sank 9.27%.

The euro traded flat against the dollar, going for $1.08412 at 4:03 pm ET.
