US markets tumble again, Nasdaq opens 100 pts lower

After a volatile Thursday and its dramatic close with the Dow Jones tumbling more than 300 points, US markets opened the last session of the week lower. Among the highlights, Intel Corporation announced that it will invest more than $20 billion in two semiconductor fabs in Ohio, Netflix released its results, and the global number of daily COVID-19 infections reached an all-time high in the last 24 hours. Later in the day, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen will address the World Economic Forum.

The Dow Jones lost 0.21% at 9:32 am ET, with Walt Disney down by 5.37%. The Nasdaq 100 fell 0.46%, and the S&P 500 declined 0.31%, while Netflix decreased by 20.63%.

The euro improved by 0.47% against the dollar at 9:28 am ET, selling for $1.13570.
