US mixed premarket as Nasdaq turns to losses
Stock markets in the United States traded mixed premarket on Thursday ahead of major data releases. The preliminary report for the first-quarter GDP will be published before the market open along with the initial jobless claims, with the pending home sales figures following after.
The Dow Jones added 0.27% at 6:18 am ET and the S&P 500 increased by 0.15%. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq 100 dropped 0.19% at 6:19 am ET as Apple Inc. lost 1.52% amid reports the company will not increase its iPhone production targets for 2022.
The euro traded 0.32% higher compared to the dollar and sold for 1.07138 at 6:21 am ET.
