US mostly flat premarket with earnings, inflation in focus

Major stocks on Wall Street stood mostly flat in the premarket session on Tuesday, as investors braced for a week of corporate quarterly earnings reports, along with the key data on the country's inflation due to be released on Wednesday.

Prior to this, the US Senate approved an anti-inflation bill intended to combat inflation by cutting the national deficit, lowering health care expenses, and boosting the use of cleaner energy sources. On the earnings front, Warner Music Group Corporation is expected to publish its quarterly report in the coming hours, while Coinbase Global Inc. will do so after the closing bell.

The Dow Jones Industrial gained 0.10% at 4:05 am ET. At the same time, the Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 were flat. The euro gained 0.17% against the dollar, to change hands for $1.02140 at 4:00 am ET.
