US opens down ahead of data
Wall Street opened lower on Tuesday in anticipation of consumer confidence and new home sales report, as well as Costco earnings data that will be published later in the day.
Meanwhile, investors digested the latest data on house prices in the United States.
The Nasdaq 100 lost 0.86% with Sirius XM Holdings dragging the index down by 9.23% at 9:32 am ET. The Dow Jones was down 0.54%. Dow Inc decreased 1.14%. The S&P 500 decreased 0.71% as AT&T Inc went down 2.36% at 9:33 am ET.
The euro was flat against the dollar at 9:29 am ET, exchanging for $1.05928.
