US personal spending up 0.2% in February
Personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased by $27.9 billion or 0.2% in the United States in February compared to the previous month, the Bureau of Economic Analysis said on Friday. Personal income grew by $72.9 billion or 0.3% on a monthly basis.
The PCE price index rose by 0.3% from January, and 5% compared to February 2022. The PCE price index excluding food and energy also added 0.3% month-on-month and 4.6% annually.
