US prohibits travelers to stay at places owned by Cuban govt

United States President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday the Treasury Department will prohibit travelers from staying at properties owned by the Cuban government.

Delivering a speech in honor of Bay of Pigs veterans, Trump added that Washington would continue to apply restrictions on the import of Cuban alcohol and tobacco, saying that "US dollars won't fund the Cuban regime." The US won't lift sanctions on Cuba until democracy is established, the president stressed. At the same time, Trump revealed the US government would impose additional sanctions on officials from Venezuela and Nicaragua over the regimes' "dictatorship" and disrespect of human rights.

"The United States will never become a socialist or communist country," Trump concluded his remarks on the subject. The president once more received the presidential endorsement from Bay of Pigs veterans.
