US rises premarket as default crisis is resolved
Stock indexes in the United States traded with gains in the premarket on Friday after the Senate passed the debt ceiling bill, putting an end to weeks of worry over the possibility of a first-ever US default. In data, private payrolls jumped by 278,000 in May, while manufacturing activity continues to contract.
The Dow Jones added 0.36% at 4:35 am ET, the Nasdaq 100 increased by 0.33% at the same time, and the S&P 500 grew by 0.35%.
The euro traded 0.06% higher against the dollar and sold for 1.07688 at 4:36 am ET.
