US Senate votes to end COVID national emergency
United States Senate voted 68-23 to terminate the COVID pandemic-caused national emergency declaration that former US President Donald Trump introduced in early 2020.
Last month, the House of Representatives voted 229-197 to end the declaration. Current President Joe Biden is expected to approve and sign the resolution.
The measure will only end the national emergency early, as it was set to expire in May regardless of the vote.
