US shares lower in premarket, Dow down 100 pts

Stocks in the United States retreated during premarket trade on Friday as tensions between China and the US continue to simmer. Chinese state media slammed Washington over its decision to blacklist Huawei as well as its pressure on Beijing regarding trade. Washington "keeps using petty tricks to destroy the atmosphere for talks," a commentary published by ​Taoran Notes said earlier today.

Wall Street finished the session on Thursday with sharp gains on the back of strong earnings results.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 100 points at 4:28 am ET. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 dipped 0.39%, while the Nasdaq 100 lost 0.44%.
