US stocks open higher ahead of Fed interest rate decision

Wall Street opened in the green on Wednesday ahead of the United States Federal Reserve's interest rate decision due later in the day, with CME's Fed Watch Tool showing that traders expect interest rates to remain unchanged. US government debt yields accordingly increased in anticipation of the decision. In other news, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) said on Wednesday that its next meeting will take place in Vienna from July 1 to July 2.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened 0.12% in the green, led by the Boeing Co's gains of 5.37% after it secured another order from Qatar Airways earlier in the day. The Nasdaq 100 jumped 0.13% on the back of Adobe Systems Inc's rise of 4.02% following its strong earnings report while the S&P 500 increased by 0.09%.

The euro gained 0.09% against the dollar to go for 1.12041 at 9:28 am ET.
