US stocks up in premarket as Trump promises vaccine delivery

Major stock indexes in the United States traded higher in the premarket on Friday after the Thanksgiving break. US President Donald Trump made news by promising that the delivery of COVID-19 vaccines will start "literally next week and the week after." He also stated that he will concede the election to President-elect Joe Biden if his legal challenges fail. Meanwhile, the country continues to record high numbers of coronavirus infections and deaths.

The Dow Jones gained 0.18% at 4:42 am ET. The S&P 500 was up by 0.19% at the same time, while the Nasdaq 100 grew by 0.38% at 4:43 am ET.

The euro traded just 0.06% higher than the dollar at 4:44 am ET and sold for 1.19197.
