US trades lower premarket ahead of data reports

Stock indexes in the United States traded with losses in the premarket on Wednesday as investors awaited the latest batch of economic data. The latest mortgage application figures are coming up before the start of the session, as well as the trade balance report for April. Earlier, the OECD predicted the US economy will grow by 1.6% in 2023 and 1% in 2024, while the World Bank forecast a 1.1% growth this year and 0.8% in 2024.

The Dow Jones fell by 0.12% at 4:21 am ET, the Nasdaq 100 was down 0.21%, and the S&P 500 lost 0.10% at the same time.

The euro traded just 0.06% lower compared to the dollar at 4:22 am ET, going for 1.06861.
