US unveils $300M security package for Ukraine
The United States Department of Defense announced on its 39th security package to Kiev on Wednesday, valued at $300 million, "to meet Ukraine's critical security and defense needs."
The latest security assistance package will include additional munitions for Patriot air defense systems, HIMARS, and unmanned aerial systems, as well as AIM-7 air defense missiles and 30 million rounds of small arms ammunition.
Earlier, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhnyi and United States Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Mark Milley spoke about Kiev's plans to liberate its territory and additional weapon supply, including bolstering Ukraine's air defense with "additional systems" and F-16 fighters.
