US up premarket ahead of data
Major United States stock markets traded higher in Monday's premarket session in anticipation of fresh economic reports. New data on US PMI manufacturing, as well as construction spending, will be published later today. Investors are also waiting for US Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's speech to get more information about the next monetary policy steps. During the weekend, The Senate passed the stopgap bill to keep the country's government running.
The Dow Jones gained 0.30% at 4:32 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 added 1.67%, and the S&P 500 rose 0.82%.
The euro was down by 0.08% against the dollar at 4:33 am ET, selling for $1.05655.
