USTR: USMCA reached thanks to Trump

United States Trade Representative (USTR) Robert Lighthizer released a statement on Tuesday in which he gave credit to US President Donald Trump for reaching the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).

The deal will "benefit American workers, farmers, and ranchers for years to come" and will be the template for all future US trade deals, Lighthizer said.

Earlier today, House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that an agreement was reached between the House Democrats and the White House on USMCA, adding that this trade deal is "much better than the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)."
