Volvo owners to access Tesla charging stations in US
Volvo Cars electric vehicle owners will gain access to Tesla's network of 12,000 charging stations across the United States, Canada, and Mexico starting from the first half of 2024, the Swedish-based carmaker announced on Tuesday.
"As part of our journey to becoming fully electric by 2030, we want to make life with an electric car as easy as possible," Volvo's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jim Rowan said. Under the agreement, future Volvo vehicles will be fitted with the North American Charging Standard (NACS) charging port starting in 2025, according to the company.
Several United States carmakers reached an agreement that will allow their customers to use Tesla's charging stations throughout North America.
