Wall Street opens higher after corporate news

Stock exchanges on Wall Street opened higher on Wednesday, with investors drawing optimism from the latest corporate news as they brace for the next week's Federal Reserve policy meeting.

Namely, Salesforce Inc. and Alphabet Inc.'s Google Cloud revealed an artificial intelligence data partnership that looks to enhance the customers' experience, while cutting costs across several sectors. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman predicted that the expansion of AI will be "significant" in the years to come. After the closing bell, GameStop will post its first quarter earnings for fiscal 2023.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.07%, as the Home Depot grew 0.70%. The Nasdaq 100 rose 0.30%, with Marvell Technology Inc. jumping 4.06%. The S&P 500 gained 0.11%, with Netflix surging 3.98%.

The euro added 0.27% against the dollar, trading at $1.07206 at 9:26 am ET.
