Wall Street opens higher amid earnings season

Stock markets in the United States opened higher on Wednesday as earnings season continued with PepsiCo, Morgan Stanley and US Bancorp reporting their corporate results ahead of market open. Meanwhile, investors are likely to keep an eye on further developments from the Federal Reserve as Philadelphia Fed President Patrick Harker and St. Louis Fed President James Bullard are scheduled to give speeches later in the day.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.05% at the open as Intel soared 3.80%.

The Nasdaq 100 advanced 0.66% at the same time, reaching all time intraday high as Alphabet and Facebook jumped 0.58% and 0.94%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the S&P 500 added 0.34% thanks to Qualcomm skyrocketing 13.7% following yesterday's settlement.

The euro gained 0.17% against the US dollar, to go for 1.1301 at 9:30 am ET.
