Wall Street opens in the green before Fed decision

Major United States indexes traded in the green at the opening bell on Wednesday as investors await the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision and other important economic data from the US. Meanwhile, the US House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure released a report criticizing Boeing and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for allowing the 737 MAX aircraft to fly with faulty software and cause two deadly crashes, killing over 300 people.

The Dow Jones Industrial Index was up 0.22% at 9:31 am ET with Procter & Gamble Co. rising 0.94%. The Nasdaq 100 increased by 0.31% at the same time as Western Digital Corporation stocks rose by 2.15%. The S&P 500 was 0.36% in the green two minutes later as Tapestry Inc. shares grew by 7.90%.

The euro gained 0.05% compared to the dollar to change hands at $1.18522 at 9:36 am ET.
