Wall Street opens mostly muted ahead of data

Major stock markets in the United States opened mostly flat on Wednesday, with investors waiting for the latest round of data reports to give an indication of the state of the economy.

Meanwhile, in tech news, Amazon Web Services expanded its partnership with Salesforce.com, Apple argued a case for its App Store, and Microsoft reached $2 trillion in market value.

The Dow Jones and the Nasdaq 100 opened flat. The S&P 500 increased 0.11% at the opening bell, with APA Corp rising 3.05%. The euro gained 0.13% on the dollar trading for $1.19564 at 9:32 am ET.
