Wall Street trades lower in premarket

Premarket session on Wall Street pointed to a lower open on Tuesday as investors grew more concerned over the outcome of trade talks between Washington and Beijing.

The Chinese Commerce Ministry added fuel to already shaky bilateral relations earlier, dubbing Washington a hypocrite over its criticism of Beijing's alleged mistreatment of Uyghur Muslims in the Xinjiang region and reminding that the US is "the only country in the world that has imposed a Muslim ban."

Nevertheless, President Trump remains adamant that the talks are going "well."

The Dow Jones rebounded slightly from earlier in the premarket session, dropping 0.38%. The Nasdaq 100 recovered some of the losses but was still down 0.45%, while the S&P 500 declined 0.34%.

The euro traded 0.11% up against the dollar, changing hands for 1.10768 at 5:59 am ET.
