Wall Street trades lower premarket ahead of data

Major stock market indexes in the United States were slightly lower in the premarket on Thursday as the investors awaited reports on the country's initial jobless claims and new home sales scheduled for release later in the day.

Traders will also keep an eye on testimonies before the Senate committee which Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell and US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin will deliver later in the day.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was 0.09% down at 4:22 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 dropped 0.35% at the same time. The S&P 500 concurrently dipped 0.10%. The euro traded flat against the dollar, selling for $1.16546 at 4:24 am ET.
