Wall Street up premarket as traders await data

United States stock exchanges were in the positive territory in premarket trade on Thursday with a slew of economic data reports on the agenda. Updates on the country's GDP growth, jobless claims, trade balance and durable goods orders will be released before the opening bell. In addition, Intel and Visa will publish their latest quarterly figures after 4 pm ET.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average index gained 0.06%, the Nasdaq 100 climbed 0.61% and the S&P 500 was up 0.24% at 4:28 am ET.

The euro was 0.12% lower than the US dollar, changing hands for 1.09015 at the same time.
