Walmart Q4 revenue rises 7.3% to record $152.08B

Walmart Inc. posted its fourth-quarter earnings results on Thursday, saying that its revenue grew 7.3% on an annual basis to reach a record $152.08 billion. In the United States, Walmart's comp sales advanced 8.6% in the same period, and eCommerce sales surged 69%. The company's operating income increased by 3.1% in the last trimester of fiscal 2021 to $5.5 billion, with adjusted earnings per share of $1.39.

Regarding the whole fiscal 2021, Walmart's total revenue climbed 6.7% to $559.2 billion, boosted by an 8.6% increase in US comp sales and a 79% surge in eCommerce sales. Adjusted earnings per share stood at $5.48.

"We completed a strong year and a strong Q4 thanks to our amazing associates. They stepped up to serve our customers and members exceptionally well during a busy holiday period in the midst of a pandemic," Walmart President Doug McMillon said in the report.
