Wendy's planning Europe expansion

American fast-food restaurant chain Wendy's announced on Friday its plans to expand its business into Europe in the next 12 to 18 months.

Talking on the company's investor day, Wendy's president Kurt Kane also gave more information on the plans to launch a breakfast menu nationwide. Kane stated, that unlike in previous attempts, the breakfast will not include any equipment expenses, which previously could cost up to $10,000.

In addition to the breakfast menu, the restaurant chain has been exploring menus with meat alternatives, Kane said. Shares of the company were up by over 6% in premarket trade.
