West will not hurt Russia-China relations, FM says

The Russian Foreign Ministry's spokeswoman Maria Zakharova remarked on Thursday that the West will not succeed in fracturing the bilateral relations between her country and China.

In an appearance on the Soloviev Live podcast, Zakharova described the United Kingdom's decision to send ammunition that contains depleted uranium to Ukraine as a "political provocation" aimed at reducing the importance of Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Moscow.

Following his meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, Xi noted that the relations between their two countries have been growing steadily and "healthily."
