WH: Russian invasion on Ukraine may start any time

White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre warned on Monday that Russia's invasion of Ukraine could start at any time, including as soon as this week.

Jean-Pierre stressed that there are no signs of de-escalation, adding that Russia has been building up troops at the Ukraine border over the last ten days.

However, she noted the White House still believes a diplomatic resolution to the crisis could be reached and that the Biden administration remains open for dialogue with Moscow.
