Xpeng considering making own autonomous driving chips

Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng, also known as Xiaopeng Motors, is considering manufacturing its own chips for autonomous driving, company executive Xinzhou Wu told CNBC on Thursday.

Yesterday, the company revealed its new P5 sedan, which uses Nvidia Corporation's DRIVE AGX platform and its Xavier SoC processor for autonomous driving.
