Zelensky thanks Biden for inking $3B in aid for Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky took to Twitter on Saturday to thank his US counterpart Joe Biden for sending another package of financial aid for Ukraine.

The $3 billion in military aid to help Kiev pay its soldiers and acquire weapons was included in a $12.35 billion stopgap bill, inked by Biden on Friday. The measure will finance the US federal government through mid-December and avert a partial government shutdown.

"The law provides the financing of defense programs, as well as powerful direct budget support to Ukraine. This help is more important today than ever," Zelensky said. "We must continue to jointly oppose the aggression of the Russian Federation."
