Zelensky urges EU not to grant visas to Russians

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged the European Union on Friday not to issue visas to Russian citizens, claiming that their citizens have "no right" of being given visas and accusing them of being residents of a "terrorist country."

"The day before, Latvia officially recognized Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism. We are working to ensure that the whole world does the same. It is fair. It is right. And it will happen," Zelensky stressed.

Previously, Estonia announced that it will close its border to Russian citizens with Estonian Schengen visas beginning next week, making it the third country, after Latvia and Finland, to call on the European Union to close its borders to Russian Federation tourists.
