Zuckerberg: Apple's App Store is conflict of interest
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said on Wednesday that Apple's App Store represents a "conflict of interest."
"Apple has sort of singled themselves out as the only company that is trying to control unilaterally what apps get on a device," Zuckerberg stated. Speaking at the New York Times DealBook summit, the Meta CEO claimed that Apple is trying to limit apps that can enter its store and added the company's privacy policies "have been hard."
The comments come after Twitter CEO Elon Musk criticized Apple for allegedly threatening to remove the social media app from its App Store and cutting ads on Twitter. Spotify CEO Daniel Ek also took aim at the iPhone maker, accusing it of änticompetitive practices" and "shameless bullying."
