Zuckerberg presents Meta Quest 3 mixed reality headset
Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg presented during the Meta Connect event on Wednesday the company's latest mixed reality headset Meta Quest 3, providing more details about the device first announced earlier this year.
Zuckerberg called the device the "most powerful headset" the company has ever created and said it will allow users to "blend the physical and digital worlds together." Quest 3 will start shipping on October 10 and will cost $499.99.
The Meta CEO also announced that Xbox cloud gaming will become available on Quest from December and that a new feature called Augments will be launched next year and will basically be "spatially anchored digital objects you can interact with" such as digital frames on walls.
