Zuckerberg: We will tell users if their data was breached

Facebook is going to build a tool in order to tell everybody if their data was breached and going to share that information in the future as well, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said during an interview for CNN. "We need to make sure there aren't any other Cambridge Analyticas out there [...] We are going to investigate every app and review thousands of apps. If we find something, we will do a full forensic audit," Zuckerberg stated.

Earlier during the day, in a post on his Facebook profile Zuckerberg vowed to "investigate all apps that had access to large amounts of information" and restrict access to personal data to developers.

Cambridge Analytica has been accused of breaching privacy by collecting personal user information of more than 50 million people through an app on Facebook, from which it was later removed. The data analytics company used to work with the United States President Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign.
