Euro area inflation rises to 0.6% in November
Annual inflation in the euro area is estimated to increase to 0.6% in November from the 0.5% recorded in the previous month, the statistical office of the European Union, Eurostat, reported on Wednesday.
Services contributed most to the increase in consumer prices, followed by food, alcohol and tobacco. Annual inflation rate of services stood at 1.1% in November, unchanged from October. On the other hand, energy was -1.1%. declining from -0.9% recorded in October.
This month's increase in consumer prices is the highest recorded in the Eurozone since 2014.
