Johnson denies UK wants to delay trade deal with EU

United Kingdom's Prime Minister Boris Johnson denied on Monday that the UK government will delay the trade deal with the European Union until after the result of the presidential election in the United States is announced.

Johnson stated that "the two things are entirely separate." A report in the Observer previously claimed Johnson wants to wait and see if Joe Biden wins the election, in which case he will accept a deal with the EU, as he believes a UK-US trade agreement would be harder to reach under Biden's administration.
