American to start 737 Max pilot training in November

American Airlines is looking to begin with pilot training on Boeing's 737 Max planes in November, CNBC reported on Monday citing a company memo.

"With the planned return to service for our B737 MAX aircraft in the near future, we will begin conducting B737 MAX Special Training for our B737 pilots," director of flight training planning and scheduling at Boeing, Ameya Kingaonkar, was cited as saying.

Boeing's 737 Max planes were grounded last year following two fatal crashes due to technical malfunction of the aircraft. Since then, the company has faced order cancelations, which led to the financial troubles that were boosted by the coronavirus-related halt in air travel.

Boeing's stocks sank 2.97% at the close today to sell for $156,35 per share. The planemaker has only partially recovered from the stock market crash seen in March, hence its shares plunged 52% since the start of the year.
