Apple to resume older iPhone models sales in Germany

Apple Inc. said on Thursday that it will start selling older iPhone models in Germany against, following a court ruling in the European country that ordered Apple to suspend older iPhone sales amid dispute with chip maker Qualcomm Inc, the Wall Street Journal reported. The tech giant said it would use Qualcomm, instead of Intel chips in its models sold in Germany.

"To ensure all iPhone models can again be available to customers in Germany, we have no choice but to stop using Intel chips and ship our phones with Qualcomm chips in Germany," Apple stated. The smartphones will start selling online today, making its 7, 7+, 8, and 8+ models available in Germany again.

Apple shares were 0.42% higher during premarket trading.
