Daily COVID-19 cases in Arizona jump to record 4,682

The number of daily registered COVID-19 cases in Arizona spiked to 4,682, marking the highest number of cases registered in the state in one day since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, the State Health Department reported on Tuesday. Arizona has recorded 79,215 COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, 44 people died in Arizona from the virus since the previous update.

Earlier, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey moved the first day of school and issued an executive order to close cinemas, water parks and bars for another 30 days.
