DoJ wants quick review of files seized from Trump

The United States Department of Justice (DoJ) seeks to expedite its appeal over the review of non-classified documents seized by the FBI from former President Donald Trump's Florida estate. In a court filing, the DoJ argued that, if the appeals court ruled in its favor, the ruling could shorten or end the review of the documents by the special master.

The DoJ proposed a sped-up process, which would see it submit its opening brief on October 14, with Trump's response on November 4. The filing follows a recent win by the DoJ at an appeals court over the classified documents, whose review was previously halted by a district judge.
