Dow jumps 200 pts premarket after jobs data

Stock exchanges on Wall Street extended gains in the premarket trading on Friday following the release of hotter-than-expected jobs data in the United States.

According to the report, 339,000 jobs were added in May, seemingly demonstrating that the labor market was holding up stronger against tight policy conditions. In addition, market optimism was spurred by Lululemon Athletica Inc.'s rally during the premarket hours as retailer's China sales rebounded during the opening quarter of the fiscal 2023.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 202 points or 0.61% at 8:43 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 added 0.30%, and the S&P 500 gained 0.49%.

The euro lost 0.08% against the American dollar, to sell at $1.07542 at 8:43 am ET.
