eBay posts revenue of $2.6B in Q1

eBay Inc. reported on Tuesday its revenue reached $2.64 billion in the first quarter of 2019, up 2% year-over-year. Company's earnings per share (EPS) stood at $0.67 or 26% higher than the same period a year before. Meanwhile, the e-commerce giant generated $550 million of operating cash flow from continuing operations and $368 million of free cash flow during the observed period.

"We delivered a solid first quarter with revenue and EPS," eBay's CEO Devin Wenig said, noting that the company's "initiatives to create a next generation payment and advertising experience are on track." "We saw healthy buyer growth and disciplined cost control, and we continue to simplify the buying process while remaining focused on seller's success," he added.

eBay's shares rose 6.27% in the after-hours trading following the earnings report.
